PIXELS

First it was CD re-writers, then MP3s and now streaming services. Unless you're hip enough to collect vinyl, we only ever see the album art in a tiny thumbnail image on our phone screen.

My PIXELS collection is here to resurrect those iconic and truly loved album artworks of both past and present. The artworks challenge the notion of nostalgia with a blurred recreation of the original sleeve, using 625 individually painted coloured wooden dots. This distortion of something instantly recognisable is a commentary on the sad and slow passing of something that was once a huge and integral part of music.

Fight the electronic revolution! Bring back the days when music* and art went hand in hand.
